Dawn Brightbill

Dawn Brightbill graduated from UC Santa Barbara and began her career working in Washington, D.C. in the White House Office of the Presidential Scheduling. She returned to California and spent six years working in the Governor’s Office of Special Projects in Sacramento before moving to the Bay Area to work in the private sector. At Bank of America, she served as Senior Vice President of Government Relations. After 25 years of experience in politics and corporate government relations, Dawn’s focus shifted to raising three boys with her husband Peter and volunteering in her community.

When her children were young, Dawn was involved extensively in PTA boards for Burton Valley Elementary and Stanley Middle School as well as
Lafayette Partners in Education and Lafayette Juniors. For the past decade, Dawn has devoted her time to serving on numerous boards including co-president of the Acalanes Parents Club, The Big Band of Rossmoor, Acalanes Performing Arts Boosters and Acalanes (Athletic) Boosters. One of the highlights of her volunteer service was helping spearhead the local “Community Can’t Be Canceled” campaign during Covid and beyond. She also served for four years as a member of the Contra Costa County Fair Board of Directors. Dawn is eager to find ways to continue to give back to her community now that her kids have flown the nest.
