Grant Application

We make grants to organizations impacting the greater community of Lafayette, California. Grants range from $1,000-$10,000 generally, with the majority under $4000. Grantees are required to provide a short report on grant impact prior to March 1 of the year following receipt in order to apply in the next grant cycle.

Timeline:
Applications including supporting documents are due by March 31, 2026. Grantees will be notified of awards by June 1, with a check presentation ceremony in mid June. (note: timeline has been shortened from previous years)

Please note the required supporting documents that are listed at the bottom of the grant application.

 

Please EMAIL supporting documents that include:

  • Proof of 501(c)(3) status
  • Board of Directors roster
  • Annual Organization Budget
  • Project Budget (if not for General Operating Expenses)
  • Short narrative proposal (3 paragraphs or so fine – if longer please be sure to include a 1 paragraph executive summary)
    • Narrative should address impact on the greater Lafayette Community
    • Include organization mission statement if one exists
  • Narrative in support of the proposal
  • Letter of support from partner organization if request is to provide services within another entity (eg. poetry workshops in the schools)
  • Any additional documents you wish to submit about your organization

If you have more than seven individual documents, please add them into a zip file and EMAIL the individual zip file.

Please DO NOT submit supporting documents as links to remote files. We require direct attachment of either the documents themselves or a single zip file of the documents.
